- If you need to file a 1040EZ

The TurboTax Free Edition is TurboTax’s most basic offering and suits you well if you have a simple return. Both your federal and state returns include free e-filing. The TurboTax Free Edition is very easy to use and asks your tax questions in plain English. It also skips asking you questions that don’t apply to you, enabling you to complete your return quicker.
The TurboTax Free Edition has excellent on-screen guidance and gives you access to technical support via phone, live chat, email, and TurboTax's knowledgebase. TurboTax's technical support is very responsive and knowledgeable. You can use the TurboTax Free Edition for free up to the point you decide to print or e-file, but TurboTax doesn't offer a Money-Back Guarantee once you print or efile.
