H&R Block At Home Free Conclusion

We are in the process of reviewing H&R Block 2012 tax software, and our site will be updated December 2011.

H&R Block At Home Free is free for your federal return and costs an additional fee for the state add-on. Both your federal and state returns include free e-filing. H&R Block At Home Free is moderately easy to use. The system auto-saves your information, so  you will start from the last saved page every time you log in. However, revisiting parts of your tax return is somewhat cumbersome. For instance, the system will check for errors one you've finished your return, but it does not take you to the page where each specific error is located.

H&R Block At Home Free does not include tax support. However, you can purchase one session with a tax professional for $19.95 per session. The free product is the only one that does not include Worry-Free Audit Support. To get this support, you'll need to upgrade to the H&R Block At Home Basic. H&R Block offers great phone customer support. They have a 24-hour help line and live chat, but no email support. H&R Block offers an Accurate Calculations Guarantee, Money-Back Guarantee and Maximum Refund Guarantee.

About H&R Block At Home

We are in the process of reviewing H&R Block 2012 tax software, and our site will be updated December 2011.

H&R Block offers competitive tax products and is the only provider with physical locations where you can get help with filing your tax return. H&R Block has been around for over 50 years and has locations in many major cities around the U.S. H&R Block products and state add-on prices are slightly cheaper than competing products from TurboTax. H&R Block products are easy to use, but they don’t provide the best error checking system we’ve reviewed.
